Abstract
‘The Children’s Institute (CI) and the Community Agency for Social Enquiry (CASE) initiated this project in order to assess the potential impact of government’s decisions about budgets on children’s rights and well-being. The intention is to produce annual research on trends in allocations and expenditure in government departments that are responsible for key child services. The ultimate aim is to contribute to ensuring that adequate resources are allocated for the effective delivery of services to children and that these resources are spent efficiently, effectively and equitably and in the best interests of children.’ [Project background]
