‘The Foundation Phase Assessment Guidelines have been developed to support the implementation of the National Policy on Assessment and Qualifications for Schools in the General Education and Training Band. It provides practical ideas in the form of exemplars, tables and diagrams and emphasizes how to: integrate planning and assessment in a systematic way; use different assessment forms and tools that are appropriate for regular continuous assessment; keep assessment records; report on assessment for learning and assessment of learning’.
